Raclette is a tasty traditional course, originally from Switzerland and France where the shepherds up in the mountains laid cheese close to the fire and scraped it off as it melted. Join us for a nice evening and enjoy melted cheese followed by potatoes and pickled cucumber at Frognerseteren.

You probably know Switzerland with its great mountains and skiing opportunities - but do you know THE WINE COUNTRY Switzerland? We have the pleasure to invite you to Winemaker Dinner with Swiss wines:

Now you can get to know Switzerland in a new way, and you should not be afraid of being disappointed!
 
Perhaps you know the Zermatt district as a ski resort in Valais? The area is sunny and known for the mountains and the river Rhône that flows through. It makes the wines dry, fresh and mineral-rich. One of the leading winemakers from the area, Mathier, will visit us this evening, and the menu features a good selection of both white and red wines.
 
We offer a 5-course menu followed by the wines. Amédéé Mathier will also serve you stories between well-chosen dishes and precious drops.

Do you love melted cheese?
Now we serve cheese fondue and raclette in Cafe Seterstua.
 
Cheese Fondue
 
Get a glimps of the Alps with a proper Swiss cheese fondue at Frognerseteren. Cheese fondue is particularly tasty after a long or short walk in the woods, perhaps even using skis.
 
We make cheese fondue from Appenzeller, Gruyère and Emmenthaler. The fondue is served with bread and made for a minimum of two people. Fondue is a social dish, at it's best when it is enjoyed together with friends in front of the fireplace in Kafe Seterstua.
 
As the tradition dictates we recommend Swiss white wine, Fendant, and Kirsch with the Fondue.
 
We recommend you to make a reservation for the cheese fondue.

Raclette
 
Now you can have your own raclette evening here at Frognerseteren, this as an alternative to cheese fondue. The premise is that you are a minimum of 10 people.
 
Raclette is a tasty traditional course, originally from Switzerland and France where the shepherds up in the mountains laid cheese close to the fire and scraped it off as it melted. Bring your family, friends or colleagues and enjoy freshly melted cheese with potatoes and pickled cucumber!
